The Belle Stars is the only album by the all-female band released in 1983. Their debut album reached number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. They had success with their single "Iko Iko," a cover of The Dixie Cups' 1965 hit, which reached number 35 on the UK Singles Chart in June 1982. Seven years later, it became a hit on the Billboard Hot 100 after being featured in the movie Rain Man, peaking at number 14.
