Hotel California is the Eagles' fifth studio album, released December 8, 1976, by Asylum Records. Recorded March–October 1976 and produced by Bill Szymczyk at Criteria and Record Plant, it was the band's first album with guitarist Joe Walsh (replacing Bernie Leadon) and the last with bassist/vocalist Randy Meisner.
